On the afternoon of July 5, 2018, the "Comprehensive Design" - School-enterprise cooperation personnel training mode presentation and project demonstration meeting was held in our school. The person in charge of nearly 100 technology companies in Shenzhen attended the event, and Xu Zhenghe, dean of our School of Engineering, attended the event.

With the theme of “Exploring School-enterprise Cooperation and Cultivating Talents”, the conference explores the establishment of a new paradigm for engineering education and personnel training based on the actual needs of Shenzhen's innovation and development.

Xu Zhenghe said at the meeting that according to the needs of national development and construction, the demand for training engineering students is very urgent. The implementation of “new engineering” as a higher education reform initiative requires the introduction of new educational concepts and the training of talents for strategic emerging industries and leading industry needs. The new engineering has the professional characteristics of informationization, networking, intelligence, cross-cutting and innovation. We should adhere to the multi-disciplinary intersection and industry integration, and carry out education reform in accordance with the laws and characteristics of the new engineering.

Zhang Wei, deputy dean of our School of Engineering, said that “integrated design” is to learn from the international advanced experience, explore the engineering education talent training mode combining production, study and research, abandon traditional infusion and mechanical training, and strengthen the way of learning from practice.

Liu Guangyu, deputy director of the Technology Transfer Center of our school, introduced the school-enterprise cooperation operation mode of “integrated design”. That is, the company proposes technical requirements and project outlines, and immediately establishes the team after the project is determined. The team consists of 3 to 5 students from interdisciplinary and interdisciplinary. Each school and company assigns one tutor to be responsible for the progress of the team project. The team will conduct basic training for more than 20 courses in business management and answer the questions through the project. .

The event was organized by Shenzhen Enterprise Confederation, Shenzhen Electronics Industry Association, Shenzhen Industrial Design Association, Shenzhen New Materials Industry Association, Guangdong General Aviation Association and other industry organizations and Tencent, Huawei, Dajiang, Dazu Laser, SEG Strong support from well-known companies. The responsible person of the science and technology enterprise participating in the activity expressed support for the innovative engineering education and talent training mode of the South University of Science and Technology, and hoped that the “comprehensive design” model of the South University of Science and Technology would be promoted as soon as possible.

In the future, South University will also form a talent innovation center, continue to deepen the cooperation model between Nanke University and enterprises, solve the practical problems of manufacturing and engineering for the Shenzhen industry, and contribute to the improvement of Shenzhen enterprises' independent innovation capability.
