SUSTech Lecture Series welcomes CAE Academician’s interpretation of China’s Deep Earth Exploration Technology

Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) welcomed Central South University Professor He Jishan, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering to campus on Friday 20th September. He gave the 233rd lecture in the SUSTech Lecture Series, with a talk entitled “Leaping from Rough to Fine,” that attracted many students and faculty members.” College of Engineering Dean Xu Zhenghe presided over the speech.

He Jishan is one of the first CAE academicians and a geophysicist. He is an engineering management scientist, and the founder of dual-frequency IP, pseudo-random signal and wide-area electromagnetic methods. He was the President of Central South University of Technology, the Vice-President of the China Nonferrous Metals Society and the China Geophysical Society, a Presidium Member of China Academy of Engineering, and the director of Energy and Mining Engineering Department. He Jishan is also the Honorary Chairman of Hunan Provincial Association of Science and Technology, a lifelong member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, and a member of the Calligrapher’s Association of Hunan Province.
