The Department of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) atSouthern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) in Shenzhen, Chinainvites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions at the rank ofAssistant or Associate Professor. We seek ambitious and creative candidates whohave the vision and capability of carrying out interdisciplinary research, andcontribute to the collegial and collaborative environment of the department. Weare particularly interested in candidates with a strong record in our strategicareas of information materials and devices, as well as materials for health andmedicines. Exceptional candidates in other areas will also be considered. Weoffer globally competitive salaries and start-up packages.
Successful candidates should have a track record of researchexcellence, and are expected to build a strong research program, advisegraduate and undergraduate students, publish in leading archival journals,teach both undergraduate and graduate courses, and serve the academic communityin SUSTech and beyond.
TheMSE Department was established in July, 2013. We currently have 28 tenured/tenure-track faculty members,outstanding facilities, and vibrant researches in materials for information,health, and energy. In autumn of 2020, we will move into the brand new Collegeof Engineering Building, opening an exciting new era for the department.
