    Overseas Programs

    Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech) is a public university,

    founded in the lush hills of Nanshan District, Shenzhen. It is working towards

    becoming a world-class university excelling in interdisciplinary research, nurturing

    innovative talents and delivering new knowledge to the world.

    Led by University Council Chairperson Guo Yurong and University President Chen Shiyi,

    SUSTech has had the mission of reforming higher education in China since its launch

    in 2011. By taking a pioneering and innovative approach, it has been widely regarded as

    collectively moving the higher education sector forward to match the needs of China and

    its role in education on a global scale

    In 2012, the Ministry of Education endorsed and acknowledged the university as a platform

    for experimenting with Chinese higher education reform.
